NODE Design Internship

TraitDrop

Bringing narrative and chance to life through collectible artifacts.

Project Overview.

NODE, the foundation that I interned for over the summer, is guided by 10 Commandments. One of them is "No one leaves empty-handed." TraitDrop is my way of giving those who visit the space a physical artifact to tie back to their experience with digital art within the space.

My Process & Learnings.

This was more than just a project, it was a crash course in how vision meets reality. I started out with pretty ambitious versions of this product, I even wanted to use computer vision to track how many pins were left!

I truly learned how to adapt big ideas into buildable ones.

The emotional journey of the project was real, full of both stuck moments and breakthroughs. Completing the roof, after countless failures, was one of the most satisfying wins. And perhaps most unexpectedly, I found real joy in cheering on my peers and being part of a community that rallied behind each other's success.

Public Reaction.

CryptoPunk community reaction to the first installation of TraitDrop far exceeded my expectations!
